Travis Nguyen
Travis Nguyen | Maple Valley | LABA
In the journey of finding a career path that supports the community, Travis searched through different professions. He started in the medical field to become an EMT. While studying to become an EMT, Travis worked at a developmental adult clinic supporting adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Intellectual Disability, and many more. He loved helping these clients’ skill acquisition and behaviors daily. While with this company, his clinical director (BCBA) suggested creating an RBT team to support the higher intensity of behaviors. Travis was one of the first employees recommended to be part of the team. While studying for the RBT exam and taking the 40 hours of training, he became intrigued by the science of ABA. As time progressed, Travis immersed himself in the study of being a behavior analyst. He became increasingly motivated to learn and provide interventions that support the clients to live in the least restrictive environment. When the clients and the family are improving and succeeding, he also feels he is improving and succeeding. Travis has been in this field since 2017, working with clients with ASD, Down syndrome, Intellectually Disability, etc. Travis is interested in the development and progress of the clients and families. He is also interested in learning how mental disorders affect the behaviors of individuals. Travis started at ASL in May 2022. He enjoys the moments and teachings that he has acquired in this setting. Travis enjoys playing basketball, working out, and taking naps when available. He also enjoys cooking and baking new recipes.

Claire first started working with kids in 2014 as a nanny and a volunteer math tutor for middle schoolers. During college she had the opportunity to work in ABA as a behavior technician and loved the field right away. Since then, she’s earned my bachelors in Neuroscience from Ohio State, and my master’s in special education and Behavior Analysis from the University of Arizona. It's been so exciting to see the clients she’s worked with grow and learn throughout my time with them. I started at Aim Star Learning in August 2022 and in that time, she’s been most excited to help the clients grow socially and develop friendships in the center.
In her free time, she loves to travel, hike, rock climb, and dance: She has a bucket list goal to travel to every state and visit every National Park in the U.S.
